Lancaster Patient Safety Research Unit thanks all the participants of the the 1st North British Patient Safety Research Symposium for attending the symposium. The 1st North British Patient Safety Research Symposium was an opportunity for research scientists in the north of Britain to exchange ideas and further their understanding of each other’s particular field of work within patient safety.

The conference focused on the variety of issues in patient safety, and presentations were informed from a wide spectrum of scientific disciplines, ranging from cognitive and social psychology to statistics, sociology and more traditional, clinically focused approaches.
